Fachrul Razi: TNI Commander and National Police Chief Ready to Go to Sabang to Strengthen Border Areas

JAKARTA | ACEH INFO – Chairman of Committee I DPD RI, Fachrul Razi, who is also the candidate for Mayor of Sabang, after the Annual Session of the MPR and the Joint Session of the DPR RI and DPD RI at the Parliament Building complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 16, 2024 met with the TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, S.E., M.Si and the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Fachrul Razi raised the issue of Sabang as the gateway to western Indonesia bordering South Asia and Southeast Asia. Fachrul Razi said, the TNI Commander and Chief of Police were ready to visit Sabang to strengthen Indonesia’s border and outermost regions.

“As working partners of Committee I DPD RI, the TNI and Polri continue to be committed to maintaining sovereignty, security and order in Indonesia, especially the country’s borders,” said Fachrul Razi who is also chairman of the Special Committee for the Revision of the TNI Act and the Police Act.

Fachrul Razi who has close ties with the TNI Commander and the Chief of Police as Working Partners of Committee I DPD RI is currently focusing on the issue of the outermost and border areas to get central attention in the budget sector and the welfare approach in the border region.

DPD RI has considered that the TNI and Polri must always work together in maintaining security and order in the Indonesian border region from Sabang to Merauke. It is a joint commitment to secure from Aceh to Papua. The TNI and Polri are the main pillars in maintaining the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

Commemorating Indonesia’s 79th Anniversary, Pj Governor of Aceh Presents Souvenirs to Heroes’ Families

The Aceh government held a ceremony to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, at the Blang Padang Field solemnly and smoothly, Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Pj Governor of Aceh Bustami Hamzah acted directly as the inspector of ceremonies at the sacred independence commemoration.

Present at the ceremony were Pangdam Iskandar Muda Niko Fahrizal, Aceh Police Chief Achmad Kartiko, Deputy Chairman of DPRA Dalimi, Acting Mayor of Banda Aceh Ade Surya and other Aceh Forkopimda elements. Also present were all Heads of Aceh’s Work Units and leaders of vertical agencies.

After the ceremony, the Acreh Government presented souvenirs to the families of heroes, independence pioneers, veterans, and warakawuri, in the lobby of the Aceh Governor’s Meuligo.

The Acting Governor of Aceh, Bustami Hamzah, along with his wife, Mellani Subarni, as well as elements of the Aceh Forkopimda, to the Acting Secretary of Aceh directly handed over the souvenirs to the heirs and families of heroes.

The presence of important figures in this procession reflects the deep respect and appreciation for the services provided by the heroes in fighting for Indonesian independence.

This solemn event became one of the important moments in the commemoration of Indonesian independence in Aceh.

The handover of souvenirs to the families of heroes is not only a symbol of appreciation, but also a reminder for the people of Aceh of the importance of remembering the services of heroes who have sacrificed everything for the homeland.

In the context of the Indonesian Independence Day commemoration, this procession emphasizes the Aceh government’s commitment to continue to honor and remember the services of heroes, and maintain the values of the struggle they have inherited. The handover of this souvenir is not just a ceremony, but also a form of real appreciation from the Aceh government for the heroes who have contributed greatly to the nation and state.

The families of heroes who received souvenirs were the families of Cut Meutia, Cut Nyak Dhien, Admiral Malahayati, Major General Retired H T Djohan and a number of others.
