Prabowo will Decide the Fate of PNS Salaries in 2025

JAKARTA | ACEH INFO – The fate of the civil servant salary increase will be in the hands of Prabowo Subianto, who will be inaugurated as President to replace Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in October 2024. This was revealed directly by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.

According to Sri Mulyani, whether or not civil servant salaries will increase will be announced directly by Prabowo who will later run the next government.

“Later the President-elect will convey it,” Sri Mulyani explained when confirmed directly at the Presidential Office, Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/8/2024).

According to her, the increase in civil servant salaries will be in the 2025 State Budget, which is an agreement between Jokowi, who is currently president, and Prabowo, who will be president.

“We will see it in the State Budget and the agreement between the President-elect and the current President. That’s yes,” Sri Mulyani said.

Civil servant salaries must increase

Previously, Minister of National Development Planning / Head of the National Development Planning Agency (PPN / Bappenas) Suharso Monoarfa ensured that the salaries of Civil Servants (PNS) would increase next year.

The salary adjustment plan is contained in the updated edition of the Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principles (KEM-PPKF) 2025.

“There is, there is an increase,” said Suharso, met at the PANRB Ministry Office, South Jakarta, last Tuesday (30/7/2024).

However, Suharso could not divulge how much the increase was because it was being calculated. What is clear is that one of the considerations for increasing civil servant salaries is the inflation rate and how long there has been no adjustment.

“We are calculating. But it has been planned. The slots are there, but especially important functional workers such as for example in the health sector, teachers. That’s what we encourage,” said Suharso.

Pertamina’s Non-Subsidized Fuel Price Increases, Pertamax Remains!

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased the price of non-subsidized fuel consisting of gasoline fuel, Pertamax Turbo and Pertamax Green 95, as well as gasoil products, Pertamina Dex and Dexlite. For Pertamax there is no price change.

Pertamina Patra Niaga’s Acting Corporate Secretary, Heppy Wulansari, said the adjustment of non-subsidized fuel prices refers to the trend of the average world oil publication price or ICP and the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar. This price change has been made by all business entities in early August 2024.

“Referring to the average world oil price, Pertamina Patra Niaga has re-evaluated and made price adjustments for Pertamax Green RON 95, Pertamax Turbo RON 98, and non-subsidized fuel for diesel vehicles, namely Dexlite and Pertamina Dex, effective as of August 2, 2024. For Pertamax, the price remains the same,” Heppy said in a written statement, Friday (2/8/2024).

Heppy said Pertamina’s non-subsidized fuel price adjustment policy always considers economic stability and people’s purchasing power. Thus, even though the ICP trend has increased since the end of the first trimester, the price of non-subsidized fuel has not changed since March 2024.

The following is the latest list of Pertamina’s fuel as of August 2024 in the Jakarta area:

  • Pertamax remains at Rp 12,950/liter
  • Pertamax Green increased to IDR 15,000/liter, previously IDR 13,900/liter
  • Pertamax Turbo increased to IDR 15,450/liter, previously IDR 14,400/liter
  • Dexlite increased to IDR 15,350/liter, previously IDR 14,550/liter
