PT Pertaminan EP Rantau Field Investigates Oil Well Fire

ACEH TAMIAING | ACEH INFO – After the fire incident at one of the wells owned by PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Rantau Field, the company continued to evaluate the fire incident that occurred on Saturday, August 17, 2024, afternoon.

The fire was successfully controlled thanks to the rapid response of the PEP Rantau Field Emergency Management (PKD) team.

Until now, PEP Rantau Field and related parties are still investigating the cause of the well service fire.

The incident site has been fully cleared and is still under close supervision by Pertamina and the local police.

The incident did not cause any casualties, but there are four crew members who are receiving the best treatment from the medical team.

“Until now the victims are still in a conscious condition and continue to receive the best treatment by a team of medical experts and direct supervision by internal doctors from PEP Rantau Field,” said Pjs Head of Comrel and CID Zone 1, Afrianto, to acehinfo.id, Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Afrianto continued, that in principle PEP Rantau Field always carries out upstream oil and gas operations in accordance with applicable operational standards including in terms of maintaining safety and reliability.

He invited and prayed for the condition of the workers, especially for the four crew members, who are currently undergoing intensive care at the hospital to improve soon and be able to return home.

Oil and gas production activities in the PEP Rantu Field are still going on normally after the incident occurred. In addition, synergy with stakeholders in the region continues to be carried out according to their respective duties and responsibilities while still paying attention to the corridors of applicable laws and regulations.

“Pertamina asks local residents to remain calm, and stay away from the location of the fire so as not to endanger themselves and the environment and maximum handling can be carried out,” he concluded.

MTsS Muhammadiyah Aceh Singkil Students Represent Aceh at National KSM Event

A student of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Swasta (MTsS) Muhammadiyah Aceh Singkil, Ananda Queisha Shaguila, was selected to represent Aceh Province in the National Madrasah Science Competition (KSM) which will be held in Ternate, North Maluku.

Queisha won first place in the Integrated Mathematics KSM at the MTs / SMP level in Aceh Province, which was held from July 30 to August 1, 2024 in Banda Aceh.

As a form of appreciation, the Head of the Aceh Singkil Ministry of Religious Affairs Office (Kakan Kemenag), Azhar, gave a certificate of appreciation and coaching money to Queisha in an event in his office on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
