While in Banda Aceh, the PON XXI flame was carried by Ali Akbar, a legendary Banda Aceh athlete. Bank Aceh Holds Nobar for PON Aceh Team Football Matches
In order to enliven the National Sports Week (PON), Bank Aceh invites the entire community to participate in watching Aceh’s soccer matches through watching together (Nobar).
This activity will be held at the UMKM Expo Field of Bank Aceh Lampineung Banda Aceh on September 07, 2024 and September 10, 2024 at 20.15 WIB until completion.

Pj Governor: Enchantment of the East Coast to Introduce Cultural and Tourism Wealth
Acting Mayor of Langsa, Syaridin, officially opened the Enchantment of Aceh’s East Coast event at the local Merdeka Square, Friday, September 6, 2024, evening.
Present at the event were the Head of Marketing of Disbudpar Aceh T. Hendra Faisal, Acting Regional Secretary Suriyatno, Secretary of Commission II DPRA Irfansyah, temporary Langsa DPRK Chairman Jeffry Sentana, Deputy Burhansyah and Secretary of DPRK Langsa Gunawan Abdillah, as well as OPDs, Sub-District Heads and Forkopimda.
The Charm of Aceh’s East Coast in Langsa City was held for three days from September 6 to September 2024, featuring various activities.
The Acting Governor of Aceh in his remarks read by the Acting Mayor of Langsa City, said that the Aceh tourism industry is now experiencing rapid development by carrying out the spirit of The Light of Aceh branding which is part of the Wonderful Indonesia national tourism co-branding.
The increase in tourist visits to leading destinations such as Sabang, shows that Aceh’s tourism potential is increasingly widely recognized.
This is certainly a positive thing, both for the local economy and in an effort to introduce Aceh’s cultural wealth to the world.
For this reason, the Aceh Government through the Aceh Culture and Tourism Office organized “Pesona Pesisir Timur” as an effort to develop and introduce the richness of culture, tourism and culinary in the east coast of Aceh.
“As we know, the east coast of Aceh has tourism charm and cultural wealth that is no less interesting than the west, south and central coast of Aceh,” he said.
Destinations such as Kuala Geulumpang Beach in East Aceh with stunning white sand, the charming mangrove tourism area in Langsa City, to the rich and diverse Malay cultural traditions in Aceh Tamiang, offer unique tourism experiences that have great potential to attract tourists from within and outside the country.
“In this eastern region of Aceh, various customs, traditional arts, and local wisdom continue to be maintained and preserved by the local community. This of course further strengthens the cultural identity which is a special attraction for tourists,” he explained.
Therefore, Pesona Pesisir Timur comes as an initiative to promote tourist destinations and preserve Malay culture in Aceh, especially in East Aceh, Langsa, and Aceh Tamiang.
This activity is also expected to encourage tourism development in the eastern coastal region of Aceh.
“As we know, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, will open the XXI National Sports Week (PON) on September 9, 2024 at Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Banda Aceh. This event is an important momentum for Aceh as the host, to promote tourism and cultural potential to all contingents from all over Indonesia who come to Aceh,” he explained.
Pesona Pesisir Timur is also part of a series of activities organized by the Aceh Government through the Aceh Culture and Tourism Office, to enliven PON XXI through the Aceh Festival 2024 event which began last August.
The series of events of Pesona Pesisir Timur includes various activities, including the Culinary & UMKM Expo, which features various products from MSMEs, ranging from culinary, souvenirs, clothing, to local communities.
In addition, there will be a traditional game arena with various Malay folk games, Malay Cinema Screen, and art and cultural performances. There will also be training and workshops in three categories: digital creators, public speaking, and souvenir crafts.
“We hope this event can strengthen the positive image of Aceh’s East Coast Region and contribute to advancing tourism in Aceh and Indonesia in general. Hopefully, from this activity, Aceh will be closer to the domestic and foreign tourist markets for the development of the tourism industry and creative economy in this beloved province,” he concluded.
North Sumatra Opens 20 PON XXI Media Centers, Aceh Doesn’t Have One Yet
The National Sports Week (PON) XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024 has become a public concern, because it presents athletes in 46 sports from 38 provinces plus the National Capital.
This event also became the center of media coverage, both local and foreign media. Therefore the existence of a media center is very meaningful for journalists.
For the North Sumatra region, PB PON provides 20 buffer media centers at the location of the competition venue spread across 10 districts / cities.
In addition, there is one main media center facilitated by the Ministry of Communication and Information.
For the buffer media center, PB PON North Sumatra Region provides facilities in the form of a working space area equipped with computers, electric plugs and internet. In addition, consumption is also prepared in the form of lunch, dinner and snacks which are available for free.
To get these facilities, media crews who have ID cards only need to fill out a guest book. Two volunteers in the field of Public Relations, Publications and IT will assist all the needs of the media crew.
One of the volunteers, Muhammad Helma Musyafa, who was met at the Indoor Hockey Sports Venue of the Unimed Multipurpose Building, welcomed the media crew who entered the Media Center.
After entering the media center room, Helma did not hesitate to offer the media crew food, drinks and WiFi passwords.

Meanwhile, at the Selayang Media Center, several journalists were seen using the media center facilities at the Water Polo match. TVRI reporter Dodi admitted that he was greatly helped to complete his coverage tasks by the media center facilities provided by the committee.
The list of 20 Satellite Media Centers provided by PB PON North Sumatra is Media Disporasu Multipurpose Building, Selayang Swimming Pool, Unimed Multipurpose Building, Lubuk Pakam Smart Field, North Sumatra Athletic Stadium Sport Center Sena Kualanamu Village, Tahura Bukit Barisan.

Meanwhile, for the Aceh region, PB PON Aceh has not opened the main media center or buffer media center at the location of the competition venue spread across 10 districts / cities.
There is also no Muaythai Venue Media Center at the Meuseuraya Building in Banda Aceh City. There are no volunteers on duty to direct the needs of the media crew.
The Main Media Center at Hermes Palace Hotel Banda Aceh promised by PB PON XXI Aceh Region, also has not functioned, there are no facilities available.
Ihsan Infoaceh.net reporter admitted that he was very disappointed because there was no PON media center in Aceh that supported his coverage tasks in several sports, with no facilities in the media center.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson for PB PON XXI/2024 Aceh Region Saifullah Agani confirmed that the main media center at the Hermes Palace Hotel was not yet functioning.
“Isha Allah, the main media center, if there are no obstacles and get support from sponsors, we will open on September 8, 2024, explained the man who is familiarly called SAG.
SAG revealed that there are several obstacles that must be conveyed, so that the media center cannot be opened in Aceh.
“We still have obstacles. Until now, PB PON Aceh has not yet received a sponsor for the opening of a media center for journalists, “He said.
